In 2017 Founder of We Are R.I.S.E. Ebone Smith discovered a need in the community she was serving and with the support of parents and administration began facilitating an after school program for girls of color. Proving to be a staple in the community, We Are R.I.S.E Inc continued to provide services to mentees through out 2020 Pandemic and officially became incorporated as a nonprofit. Our vision is to provide girls of color the necessary tools and skills to reach their greatest potential. Currently, our nonprofit serves 3 schools with over 90 mentees ranging from 3rd through 8th grade.
