Lakyra Broomfield is deeply passionate about creating safe, welcoming spaces where children feel heard, valued, and free to be themselves. Her mentoring journey began within her church community, where she led group-building activities and interactive icebreakers designed to foster connection, trust, and a sense of belonging among young people.
Lakyra brings creativity and joy into every space she enters. Outside of mentoring, she enjoys expressing herself through singing, painting, and spending time in nature, interests that often inform the way she connects with children and encourages self-expression.
As a mentor, Lakyra is committed to helping children recognize their inherent worth and understand that they are seen, respected, and celebrated for who they are. She approaches her work with care and intention, affirming each child’s identity and honoring their lived experiences across race, background, ethnicity, and gender.
