Taylor Campbell

Mentor

Taylor is a Compton and South Bay native with deep roots in rural Alabama, carrying forward an ancestral lineage of birthworkers and healers. Raised in the Harbor Hills Housing Projects, her lived experiences continue to shape her commitment to community care, advocacy, and collective healing.

Taylor founded Spiritually Akin to intentionally work at the intersection of mental health, birth work, advocacy, and mentorship: bringing healing, support, and affirmation back to the communities that raised her. Her work is rooted in the belief that wellness and care should be accessible, culturally grounded, and led by those who understand the community firsthand.

As a mother, Taylor extends her nurturing spirit beyond her own family and into the broader community, holding space with compassion, patience, and intention. As a mentor with We Are R.I.S.E. Inc., she brings her wisdom as a mother, birthworker, and advocate into every mentoring space she enters. Taylor approaches mentorship as a relational practice grounded in listening, affirmation, and presence supporting girls as they build confidence, self-trust, and a deeper connection to who they are.

Taylor views her work as both service and prayer, believing deeply in the power of paying care forward and creating cycles of healing, belonging, and possibility for future generations.
